BROADBAND GUIDE · 3 MINUTE READ
Your broadband contract is ending. What next?
A simple checklist before renewing or changing provider.
HELPFUL HOUSEHOLD KNOW-HOW
Understanding your current arrangements is the first step towards making an informed decision. Here's a practical starting point.
1. Find your end date
Look in your provider account, bill or contract confirmation. Switching or cancelling before the minimum term ends can lead to charges.
2. Check what speed you really need
Consider how many devices are connected, whether you work from home, and how your connection performs in the rooms where it matters.
3. Compare more than the headline price
Check price changes, setup charges, router requirements, available speeds, contract length and customer service.
4. Ask about exit fees
If you are still in contract, estimate potential early termination fees and ask whether any eligible switching-cost support exists under current provider terms.
